Last weekend we had chance to volunteer in Iketani village (Niigata prefecture),
250KM North from Tokyo, Where mobile phones, GPS and no other civilization tools works.
Over the weekend we helped local people there, after last earthquake only 6 households are left,
we packed rice, helped to construct rice-drying grid, cut grass etc.
Villagers – average age over 70 but far more energy to live than all of us together,
It was very good experience.
